Photos of Jewel's private wedding revealed

First pictures of American singer songwriter Jewel's secret wedding to long-term love Ty Murray are due to be revealed in the latest edition of People magazine.

The 34-year-old bride eloped to the Bahamas with new husband Ty earlier this month, and told the US celebrity magazine that performing "the wedding quietly made it magical".

Only two people attended the wedding ceremony held at the Cove Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, where the newlyweds exchanged vows at sunset.

Jewel wore a Monique Lhuiller wedding gown, while her groom was more casual in jeans and cowboy boots, People reveals.

Commenting on her wedding vows, Jewel said: "I said that I'll try to make our lives the best piece of art I've ever done."

The nuptials were followed by a firework display at the resort, attended by the couple's close friends and family.

Jewel and Ty had been together for ten years before deciding to tie the knot.
