Sir Bob grants newlywed Peaches his blessing

Former rocker turned human rights activist Sir Bob Geldof has reportedly given daughter Peaches' surprise marriage his blessing.

The 56-year-old dad was said to be livid after 19-year-old Peaches tied the knot with her American boyfriend Max Drummey, 23, in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas, just weeks into their whirlwind romance.

Reports claim that the first-time bride flew from London to Majorca to talk things through with her father, who was on holiday with her younger sister, 17-year-old Pixie.

A source told the Sun newspaper: "He told her everything was okay and he would support her… Although Bob was furious about the wedding at first, it was hugely important to Peaches to have his blessing."

The newlyweds are planning a short honeymoon break scheduled in between Max's band commitments.

Meanwhile, Peaches has expressed her frustration that her nuptials haven't been taken seriously by the press, saying she is yet to receive any wedding gifts.
