Unique weddings on a
budget
"Regardless of your budget
you can create a unique and memorable wedding. A crucial step
in good budgeting is deciding what you want and then finding
out how much this will cost. Before you set your budget take
time to compare prices and services. Find what no-one else
has at a fraction of the cost - and stay in
budget!"

Work out the wedding budget
It's very easy to get carried away when planning your
dream wedding, and before you know it you've spent a
small fortune. Before you commit yourself to anything, sit
down with your fiancé and work out what you can afford to
spend, what your priorities are and where you could cut costs
if necessary. If either set of parents is contributing, it
makes sense to involve them in the discussions too. The
average wedding now costs nearly £20,000 but only you know
what you can afford. Decide on a budget and then make sure
you stick to it. If you over-spend in one area, work out how
you can economise somewhere else.

Stick to the budget
With the cost of weddings ever increasing it is important to
know that you've squeezed the best value and quality out
of every penny! Try and plan and divide your ideas into two
DECORATION; how you adorn the bridal party (dress, shoes,
hats) and decorate your venue (flowers, cakes, balloons)
and
PEOPLE; how you give your guests a great day, toastmaster,
magician, caricaturist, musicians and, of course, the
photographer and videographer to capture it
all.
