The Educational Wedding Planner That All Brides Need!
)
When it comes to your weddings, there are 110 things to thing about of what to do and what not to do so let award winning wedding planner, Kelly Anne, break it down and give you 5 helpful tips… First things first, Wedding Invitations... ALWAYS put the time you want your guests to arrive, not what time the ceremony is. If you just put the ceremony start time, you can guarantee that the majority of your guests will rock up at that time which will result in making you late! Kelly Anne suggests that you asks your wedding guests to arrive at least 30minutes prior to the ceremony, this will then allow time for guests to use the facilities, find their seats and be ready for you to walk down the aisle!
Another great tip...Ask your venue what the music cut off time is. Although the venue might close at 1am in the following morning, it doesn't mean to say you can play music up until then. If it is a residential area, usually the DJ/Band will have to end at 11.30pm so check BEFORE you book your evening entertainment and waste money on a band that cant play music when your event ends. Another aspect to check with your venue is what the decibel cut off reading is for your band or DJ. Lots of venues measure how loud the volume of music is so if your DJ/Band are playing too loud and going over the venues legal amount, then the music could cut off automatically and your guests be left dancing in silence so please check BEFORE the wedding what their decibel reading limit is and inform your evening entertainment.
We always think about the First Dance song right? But let me tell you that your second dance song is just as important!
Lets visualise that everyone is on the dancefloor to support you in your first dance and you have chosen a slow romantic song, then after that song your DJ plays another slow one, your wedding guests will just leave the dancefloor! A high energy, upbeat song is exactly what the dancefloor needs at that point and let the party continue throughout the night.
Money saving tip! Don’t waste your money and buy ceremony table flowers (long & low florals). Instead when you get to the top of the aisle, pass your bouquet to your bridesmaid and ask her to put it on the registrar table. This will save you at least £150 on a floral decoration. If you have already purchased ceremony table flowers, then reuse them after the ceremony. Ask your Wedding Planner or Venue Coordinator to move them and put them onto your top table, gift table or perhaps your entrance table, there are lots of options! This rule also applies to any other florals you have used in your ceremony. For example, pew end bouquets which are tied onto the end chairs or pews, we can reuse them after and either tie them onto the top tables chairs or place them into vases and dot them around the venue i.e. ladies toilets, cake table etc
And last but not least...Organise the bridal procession BEFORE the wedding day!
