Hi folks! So because you’re here, we’re guessing that you’re in the midst of planning the biggest day of your life – super exciting times ahead! Ever thought about having a
completely unique wedding? Something that breaks all conventions, and something completely different from all the rest? Well you’ve found the right people! To give you some wedspiration, we wanted to throw it right back to 2017 with a real life September summer wedding.
Leanne and David’s big day was nothing short of amazing, and was certainly a day where love and laughter was all around. The lovely couple wanted a relaxed wedding reception, with the freedom to choose every aspect of their day without any restrictions. Tipi weddings offer couples’ the flexibility to design their own unique venue, meaning their whole planning experience was as stress free, and enjoyable as possible. We just love giving our clients free range to let their imagine run wild and to create the wedding of their dreams!
With that being said, Leanne & David chose to host their beautiful wedding reception within the comforts of Leanne’s childhood home. After tying the knot at a local church, the newly weds and their loved ones retreated back to their private tipi reception. It was important for them to be able to enjoy the family home, and revel in old memories whilst creating plenty of new ones! They had a large set up of three giant tipis set in a triangular configuration, which allowed plenty of space for their key areas, and to accommodate all of their friends and family.
Leanne & David also chose to have a blend of seating, including our exclusive rustic round tables, long tables and a mixture of chairs and benches. This offered all guests a comfortable place to perch for food, and with the addition of their own garden furniture, everyone had somewhere to rest their dancing feet! The couple also created a designated party space, which occupied one of their giant tipis. With our
parquet dance floor, stage, and glittering disco ball, this certainly helped to elevate the atmosphere and transformed the celebration from day to night!

Leanne & David wanted their guests to have an incredible first impression, so the exterior of their tipis had to look just as amazing as the inside! We achieved a gorgeous terrace
area (with the help of a fabulous weather forecast!), and this proved to be a focal point throughout the wedding. Complete with a DIY Photo Booth, garden furniture, hay bales,
and beautiful decorative pieces, this area achieved the desired wow factor, and made for some stunning photographs! Entertaining their guests (both big & small) during the
daytime couldn’t have been made easier by hiring our collection of outdoor garden games!
This brought out the competitive side in Leanne and David’s guests, and was such a fun way of keeping everyone entertained and involved. We were also more than happy to assist with the (less exciting) practical aspects of the day, including sourcing luxury toilets, planning power provisions, creating matted pathways, and recommending exterior lighting schemes.
One of our favourite parts about this wedding is how personal it was to the couple. Family was at the heart of the day, and opting to decorate the tipis with sentimental items added such a lovely, bespoke element to their venue. A certain VIP guest also made for one of our fave photos ever! The family pup, a gorgeous Boxer dog named Teddy, made an appearance at the wedding and he couldn’t have been more adorable if he tried! Garden weddings are a massive trend, and are a type of celebration that will never go out of style – you get a certain magical feeling when looking out of your window to see your very own tipi set up! But knowing that it’s exclusively yours for the whole weekend just makes it even better…
