Real Wedding Spotlight: Faye and Jim's Alternative Wedding- Halfpenny London

'It all started with the feel of the venue.... We really wanted a urban venue that was a little rough around the edges'
We started originally looking at abandon warehouses and old derelict buildings, but with the hire of the venue alone it was looking to be very pricey. Then we found Stour Space which had the warehouse vibe we were looking for along with the catering and bar. After we found the venue the decorations fell into place from there.

'One of my Bridesmaids gave me the photo of my nan to carry on my flowers. I lost her a while ago and it was really special to have her with me on our big day'

I choose a skirt (the Suzie skirt) and camisole slip from Kate Halfpenny of Halfpenny London. The outfit I wore is normally worn as a skirt with a full length slip underneath but I didn't want that for my big day. I had the slip cut into a camisole top and I wore nude knickers so you could see a hint of leg through the skirt!

We wanted the day to be highly visual. Everything that we picked for the day wasn't around a particular theme but because we liked it all. We honed in on the things that meant something to us, and ensured we there weren't too many elements to it, if it didn't fit with everything else we didn't do it. We didn't want it to look disjointed and random.
