From intensive care to luxury accessories: deaf TV presenter Samantha Baines (The One Show, Morning Live) launches new luxury lifestyle brand

After spending three months in hospital with her new born daughter, Samantha realised how important flowers and greenery was for her mental health. However, when your daughter is having open heart surgery at ten weeks old and you are living in a hospital full-time there is little space for nature. It was this experience that inspired the actor to work with real flowers and discover a way of bringing nature with you wherever you go - so Baines London was born.
Studies show that just looking at real flowers can reduce stress and anxiety hormones and even reduce trauma symptoms. Baines London use real pressed flowers to create our designs.
Pressed flowers are digitised, arranged into bold designs by Samantha herself and printed to a high quality in the UK (scarves and ties) and Europe (stationery and homeware). This combination of using the natural beauty of flowers to support mental health as well as our focus on compelling design, has already gathered a lot of attention. Launched in September 2025, this new brand has already been seen at London Fashion Week and our silk scarves have been worn by Laura Whitmore, Liz Earle MBE, Tamsin Outhwaite, Jo Elvin, Tom Read-Wilson, and influencers Tess Montgomery, Dom and Ink as well as speakers at the House of Lords.
Created by TV presenter, Author and Actress Samantha Baines, less than two years after she left hospital with her daughter, Baines London is an independent luxury lifestyle brand with flower power. Based out of Kent in the UK, Baines London has already been featured in gift guides and selected for the Good Housekeeping and Country Living Christmas Fair. Samantha Baines is a multi award-winning comedian, actress, broadcaster and best selling author. She presents for The One Show, BBC Morning Live, Rip Off Britain, BBC Radio London and hosts the smash hit podcast The Divorce Social (half a million downloads). You may recognise her from acting roles in Netflix’s The Crown, Romesh Ranganathan's Avoidance, Call the Midwife, Silent Witness and Magic Mike Live (directed by Channing Tatum). As a hearing aid wearer herself, she is ambassador for the Royal National Institute for Deaf People and the author of critically acclaimed children's books with deaf main characters, as well as the best-selling non-fiction book Living With Hearing Loss and Deafness. She is a BAFTA member, NSPCC Campaigner and a regular on national radio stations.
