Wedding photography is a big deal and you’ll no doubt feel an element of pressure to select the perfect snapper.
There are some important factors to take into consideration when making your choice, not least how well you get on with the person you choose. Your wedding photographer will be by your side from pretty much dawn until dusk, so having a good relationship with them is essential.
This is one of the best things about The National Wedding Show. You’ll get the opportunity to meet a whole bunch of photographers to see which one of them you click with (see what we did there?).
Another great way to test this out before the big day is to arrange an engagement photo shoot. It’s a fun, more relaxed session that will enable both yourselves and your chosen lens master to get to know each other better before the big day rolls around.
But don’t hang around. Good wedding photographers can get booked up a year or more in advance, so once you know your wedding date then get them booked in too to avoid any disappointment.
You will then be able to discuss your requirements in more detail, including specific shots (confetti bomb, anyone?) and styles of photography you might like, from candid snaps throughout the day to more choreographed group pictures.
Your wedding photos will last a lifetime, long after your memories of the day become hazy, so make sure you feel confident in your decision.
