TNWS supplier Elegant Entertainment, specialists in live entertainment and experiences, discusses the new style of wedding entertainment for the new millennial.
In an age of younger party-goers and night-clubbers who are soon to become the new Mr & Mrs are we to expect the lifespan of the standard mobile wedding DJ or covers band to be replaced with something far more sophisticated?
We’ve all been to those wedding receptions where the DJ plays a predictable set of songs and makes endless cheesy announcements throughout the night- ‘The buffet is now open!’ is just one of many cliché phrases associated with a traditional wedding DJ here in the UK.
Wedding receptions have the risk of all blurring into one with pedestrian entertainment such as this, and that’s the last thing couples want for the biggest day of their lives.
Young couples are expecting and wanting much more from their wedding entertainment and a bad remix of a few Calvin tunes just does not suffice for young Millennial’s. Therefore, is there a new wave of wedding DJ’s forming who are no longer turning up to the venue with two dusty old speakers and a starlit cloth stretched over a rickety table.
Luxury live music specialists – Elegant Entertainment, have certainly seen the need for bespoke nightlife style entertainment at weddings soar over the past couple of years.
Chloe-Jean from EE said: “There is a new generation of couples getting married. They’ve grown up going out to expensive nightclubs and bars; they’re used to par tying to cool club well known DJ sets and expectations are high! This is the sort of experience they want for their wedding guests on their special day.
Chloe-Jean continued: “The addition of live musicians and nightclub-style lighting creates a fantastic ‘after-party’ atmosphere rather than guests feeling like they’re at a working men’s club with the need to get drunk quickly to enable them to dance! ”
Elegant Entertainment has provided memorable wedding entertainment at a multitude of A-list and luxury weddings across the UK as well as serving a number of 5* nightclubs and establishments for over 5 years. The latest trend is live saxophone and percussion played over a nightclub DJ along with extravagant lighting and video effects leaving a long-lasting impression with wedding guests akin to what they expect on A Saturday night out.
Elegant Entertainment will be at our NEC, Birmingham show on stand L71.
