Kirstie and Steve’s Shustoke Barn Wedding Photography

Another showstopping venue from the pros at Cripps & Co, Shustoke Barn is an impressive 18th-century barn nestled in a patch of Warwickshire woodland. From the rustic red brick and iron work, to the warm oak beams and door frames, it has a sense of atmosphere that I can’t get enough of as a Shustoke Barn wedding photographer.

The rural feel to the place is made super accessible by the fact it’s only around 10 miles from Tamworth or Birmingham, so you and your guests don’t have to travel too far from civilisation for relaxed and picturesque Shustoke Barn weddings. I’m a Northamptonshire wedding photographer, so I’m not too far away either, and it’s one of my Warwickshire faves!

Capturing all the important moments of the day, as well as those candid shots of everyone relaxing, having fun, and celebrating is what my photography is all about – this wedding was the perfect match for me!

Kirstie and Steve were smiling and laughing from start to finish, the chilled vibe of the day and the awesome setting meant their friends and family could also just relax, catch up, and enjoy the day together. Honestly, I could have included double the number of candid shots of all their happy faces, it was tough to choose just a few to share here!

Getting Ready

Kirstie and Steve started the day getting ready nearby, Kirstie with her bridal party, and Steve getting ready separately with all with the lads. Seeing Kirstie walk down the stairs in her beautiful dress from LV Couture Bridal (with the biggest smile on her face) was a super emotional moment for her gathered bridesmaids and family! She hopped in her vintage wedding car, and the rest of the wedding party piled into two vintage campervans to head to the wedding at Shustoke Barn.

Wedding at Shustoke Barn

Their ceremony took place under the incredible oak beams of the barn, decorated with weeping fig trees, and a stunning floral archway.

The natural light flooded in through the glass atrium section of the barn, a modern addition that makes Shustoke Barn wedding photography an absolute pleasure. Not only do you have all that rustic charm with warm light from candles and the iron chandelier, you also have gorgeous natural light in the perfect position to illuminate your ceremony (photographers get a bit excited about light… and this is a great example of why!).

Afterwards, everyone relaxed in the private courtyard, sharing drinks, blowing bubbles, and enjoying an acoustic guitar soundtrack. I also wisped Kirstie and Steve off for a few fun portraits in the beautiful grounds. I can’t express to you the laughs we had. Then, after speeches and their delicious wedding breakfast (the food available for Shustoke Barn weddings is SO good… seriously check out their menu one day!), Kirstie and Steve had their first dance.

An EPIC First Dance

Now, this wasn’t just ANY first dance. Kirstie is a dance teacher, so they had a fully choreographed routine that really got the party started. It was AWESOME.

Steve must have put in some intense hours of practice as he looked like a pro as well, especially in his very sharp Marc Darcy suit.

Their first dance is a part of Kirstie and Steve’s Shustoke Barn wedding photography that I could have shared an entire page of images from (maybe I should write a featured article on the best first dances I’ve seen!), it was so much fun and an absolute pleasure to capture.

Shustoke Barn Wedding Reception

In the evening I took the newlyweds for a few portraits together in the beautifully lit grounds. As a Shustoke Barn wedding photographer, I like to give my couples some quiet romantic moments together, while I capture the magic under the glowing lights in the trees.

Kirstie and Steve’s friends and family really threw themselves into the evening party, and there were plenty of brilliant (and some hilarious) dance moves. They were such a friendly bunch of people and they totally welcomed me into the family, allowing me to capture beautiful Shustoke

Barn wedding photography for Kirstie and Steve to remember every moment of their day.

Thank you for the good times, and congratulations Kirstie and Steve, it was a pleasure to join you as your Shustoke Barn wedding photographer!
