Make The Wedding Planning Fun
April 16, 2020 Expert adviceWith all the stress of wedding planning and the current Covid crisis, it can sometimes feel like all the joy has been taken out of wedding planning. To bring back a bit of excitement into wedding planning, we have put together a few tips for you:
Get the Gang Together (virtually)
Organise a weekly catch up with your friends/bridesmaids over Skype or Zoom to talk about wedding planning and bounce ideas around. Throw in a glass of Prosecco/wine in the mix and you have yourself a party!
Get Inspired
There are so many ways to get great inspiration for your wedding. Create Pinterest boards for wedding themes, dresses, cakes. Our Pinterest page is a great place to start pinning! And if you are feeling particularly creative, why not create a vision board with magazine cut-outs & anything else that inspires you.
Get Creative
With extra time at home at the moment, it’s the perfect time to get a head start on those DIY projects. From DIY favours to table decorations, the sky is the limit. And why not enrol the help of your significant other for a fun couple’s activity!
Look After Yourself
Take time on a weekly basis to take time for yourself and relax (read our article on 5 ways to reduce stress during wedding planning). This will make the experience more enjoyable when you do dive back into the planning. Take a bath, read a good book or do some meditation.
Think Food
If you already have a caterer, now’s the perfect time to liaise with them to discuss menu ideas: from the menu on the Big Day to breakfast ideas for the next day. Just because you cannot go to tastings doesn’t mean you cannot get a head start.
Honeymoon Dreaming
If you have not yet organised it, take time aside with your significant other on a weekly basis to discuss honeymoon plans and destinations. Do some research online, contact travel agents and draw-up a budget.
If you have already organised your honeymoon plans or if you have had to delay due to Covid, why not put a weekend aside with your significant other. Have a little honeymoon at home for example: from romantic dinners, to online cocktail making classes or breakfast in bed.
